WHD Gård has been under the ownership of Woikoski Oy since the 1930s and has previously served as the company's model and experimental farm The Palmberg family have always had a passion for horses, and Finnhorses have been bred on the farm ever since the 1930s. The farm was also home to the family’s prize studbook stallion, Ihme.
Sari Palmberg comes from a long line of horse lovers and has bred Finnish Warmblood horses on a small scale throughout her adult life. Sari and Clas Palmberg brought equine sports back to WHD Gård in the early 2000s. Together they began to develop the Woikoski Equestrian Centre’s operations with a great passion and love for horses. They also reintegrated horse breeding into the farms operations.
Nowadays, their aim is to breed healthy and top-quality sport horses. We breed Finnish Warmblood horses, but we are also interested in harness racing, and breed a small number of warmblood harness horses.
We have also assembled a team of professionals from both the harness racing and riding worlds. We invest in training and advancing horses.
